Job summary

CSR Hebel Somersby seeks a hands-on Production Manager to lead a large workforce and drive safety, quality and cost targets. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will coach Supervisors and Team Leaders to build a high-performing, accountable culture on the factory floor.

This role requires strong people leadership, problem solving and continuous improvement, with a focus on engaging teams and delivering production performance while ensuring safety for all employees.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in manufacturing/production environments.
• Proven ability to manage large workforces through frontline leaders.
• Strong people leadership skills including coaching and performance management.
• Experience driving cultural change and accountability in operations.
• Background in continuous process manufacturing.
• Track record of delivering KPI improvements in production, safety and operations.
• Industrial relations and employee relations experience.
• Ability to navigate production challenges and lead through change.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop production leaders and their teams to build a high-performing workforce.
• Drive a strong safety culture where every employee goes home safely every day.
• Deliver site production, quality, cost and efficiency targets.
• Manage labour, raw materials, energy usage and manufacturing costs to meet budget.
• Improve operational performance by reducing downtime and improving plant efficiency.
• Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence programs.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure product quality standards and customer expectations are met.
• Support production planning and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Customer Service and Supply Chain.
