Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions in Melbourne, Victoria, seeks a Formulation Operator at Laverton North to support production of plant nutrition, crop chemical and animal health products. The role is on‑site with a day shift and a roaster that includes late afternoons and nights.

You will prepare equipment for formulation, follow SOPs where available, and perform formulations with safety and accuracy to meet production targets. Strong safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in formulation within an ag‑chem or chemical manufacturing environment.
• Forklift licence is required to perform daily duties.
• Ability to work with ambiguity while maintaining safety standards.
• Knowledge of handling dangerous goods, including flammables and poisons.
• Strong drive to meet KPIs and production targets.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations across the Laverton North facility for plant nutrition, crop chemical and animal health products.
• Work day shift with a rotational roster including late afternoon/night shifts.
• Prepare plant and equipment for formulation per SOPs and use initiative where SOPs are not established.
• Carry out formulations as per Job Sheet specifications.
• Adhere to general safety directions and ensure equipment is safe and in good working order.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment when necessary.
• Identify and address performance issues, conduct investigations, and manage risks.
