About the Role

  • Coordinating teams, contractors, vendors and clients, tracking milestones, and identifying bottlenecks early
  • Driving production improvements and reducing waste, while progressively introducing Lean manufacturing principles
  • Introducing and managing plant and project maintenance, using MEX to monitor daily activity and build a database for future planning
  • Developing, implementing and continuously improving safety systems, policies and procedures, and keeping documentation in line with company procedures
  • Staying current with company WHS processes and procedures and supporting the WHS team in application and implementation
  • Conducting site audits, risk assessments and plant and vehicle inspections, and supporting root-cause analysis of incidents and near-misses
  • Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and safety training with the Safety Administrator, and using ComplyFlow to record and monitor statutory requirements, training and incident management

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and supporting WHS functions in a high volume, continuous manufacturing environment
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent trade qualifications
  • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work using own initiative and develop strong working relationships with diverse management groups
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate well to shop floor and management groups
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Desirable
