Job summary

Epiroc, a global leader in mining technology, is seeking a hands-on Product Technician to join the Manufacturing team in Kewdale, Perth. You will assemble electronic products, wiring harnesses, and sub-assemblies, following production drawings and instructions, with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Experience in electronic, electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing assembly.
  • Confidence using hand and power tools.
  • Soldering and wiring experience (highly regarded).
  • Ability to read assembly drawings or work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components, products, and sub-assemblies to specification.
  • Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Use hand and power tools to crimp, solder, rivet, bolt, screw, and secure components.
  • Assemble and install electronic components, wiring, connectors, and harnesses.
  • Manufacture wiring looms and cable harnesses, including terminating connectors.
  • Complete assembly processes including bonding, encapsulating, curing, cleaning, and finishing.
  • Install completed assemblies into enclosures and fit associated hardware.
  • Perform quality checks and adjustments to meet electrical and dimensional requirements.
  • Safely perform manual handling tasks and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for assembling electronic products, wiring harnesses, and sub-assemblies while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Working from production drawings and work instructions, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative technology to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic components, products, and sub-assemblies to specification
  • Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and assembly instructions
  • Use hand and power tools to crimp, solder, rivet, bolt, screw, and secure components
  • Assemble and install electronic components, wiring, connectors, and harnesses
  • Manufacture wiring looms and cable harnesses, including terminating connectors

  • Support the Production team with other duties as required
About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in delivering quality products. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Experience in electronic, electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing assembly
  • Confidence using hand and power tools
  • Soldering and wiring experience (highly regarded)
  • The ability to read assembly drawings or work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • A strong focus on workplace safety
  • The physical capability to safely perform manual handling and lifting throughout the day
