Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Product Support Advisor to provide high-level on-site technical support for Liebherr mining equipment. You will diagnose, advise and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues, maximizing uptime and performance.

You will mentor apprentices and maintenance teams while collaborating with technical support to ensure fast fault resolution and outstanding customer service on site.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant trade qualification with strong field experience in mining equipment.
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manuals and specifications.
• Customer-focused with strong mentoring and communication skills on site.
• Detail-oriented with accurate reporting to stakeholders.

The Product Support Advisor (PSA) is responsible for the provision of high level technical support to Customers on site and as required.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the on-site technical expert, providing high-level support and advice to customers on Liebherr mining equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues to maximise machine performance and minimise downtime.
• Work closely with Liebherr’s Technical support departments to facilitate the timely resolution of technical, system and component faults and failures.
• Build strong customer relationships by delivering practical solutions, technical guidance and exceptional service on site.
• Mentor apprentices, tradespeople and maintenance teams while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.

Skills & Experience:

• Relevant trade qualification in Mobile Plant, Diesel Fitting, Mechanical, Fabrication, Auto Electrical or High Voltage Electrical, with strong experience supporting mining equipment in the field.
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, delivering safe and effective solutions in demanding site environments.
• Strong technical capability with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and specifications, and provide practical recommendations to customers and maintenance teams.
• A customer-focused approach, with the confidence to build relationships, mentor others, share technical knowledge and represent Liebherr professionally on site.
• The ability to provide accurate and timely advice.
• Attention to detail when providing feedback / reports to internal stakeholders or the customer.
