Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or committed to completing a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.
  • Strong interest in mechanical equipment, heavy machinery, and a long-term trade career.
  • Good literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills for training and workplace docs.
  • Proven ability to safely use hand tools and follow safety procedures.
  • Willingness to learn new technical skills through structured training and on‑the‑job experience.
  • Reliable, motivated and team‑oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified technicians with inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults while developing technical skills.
  • Safely operate workshop tools, equipment and lifting devices, keeping a clean, organized environment.
  • Successfully complete apprenticeship training, attend trade school and maintain training records.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist qualified technicians with the inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment and machinery.
