Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia in Brisbane is seeking a proactive Product Security Engineer to join the Joint Systems Capability team, working to enhance and sustain operational software on the Wakulda Air Battle Management System. You will apply engineering processes, contribute to security planning and implementation, and collaborate with a diverse team.

Australian citizenship is required to meet defence security requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Product Security or Cybersecurity supporting complex technical development and integration projects.
• Proficiency in Engineering Processing (e.g., design, test, software, technology) as related to Product Security, including security planning and implementation.
• Proficiency in design and implementation of System Security packages of work including information assurance, intrusion detection, software protection, software assurance, communications security, network security, reverse engineering, SIEM experience.
• The ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse team, in a conscientious and inclusive way and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Desirable: Linux and Windows System administration skills, virtualization, networking, and familiarity with DevOps environments and automated build tools.
• Familiarity of software infrastructure tools and industry best practices

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is currently looking for proactive and self-motivated Product Security Engineer. Working within the Joint Systems Capability, you will be part of the team that enhance and sustain operational software on the Wakulda Air Battle Management System.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Product Security or Cybersecurity supporting complex technical development and integration projects.
• Proficiency in Engineering Processing (e.g., design, test, software, technology) as related to Product Security. Including working as part of a team contributing to security planning and implementation.
• Proficiency in design and implementation of System Security packages of work including as related to system security domains (e.g., information assurance, intrusion detection, software protection, software assurance, communications security, network security, reverse engineering, SIEM experience)
• The ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse team, in a conscientious and inclusive way and a proactive approach to problem solving is valued by our team.
• (Desirable) Linux and Windows System administration skills, particularly working with software development and configuration management tools; virtualization; and networking.
• Familiarity in Devops environments and automated build software tools
• Familiarity of software infrastructure tools and industry best practices
