Job summary

Origin Energy is seeking a Product Security Advisor to partner with the business to design and implement secure technology solutions across digital, cloud and traditional IT environments in Melbourne. You will translate security concepts into clear business outcomes while uplifting security practices and frameworks across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience across cyber security, technology risk, security architecture, or security advisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security controls and AWS/Azure risks.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS and protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, TLS and SAML.
• Experience in threat modelling, secure architecture design, and secure integration approaches.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills; knowledge of Australian Privacy Act and SOCI and relevant cyber security qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology teams to implement secure solutions across cloud, digital environments.
• Provide cyber security guidance and recommendations aligned to security standards, frameworks and best practice.
• Review and assess security architecture, integration approaches and solution designs.
• Translate complex technical security issues into clear business risks and recommendations.
• Support threat modelling activities and advise on appropriate security controls and mitigations.
• Provide advice relating to security protocols, identity and access management, cloud security and risk management practices.
• Contribute to the development of security best practices, standards and guidelines across the organisation.
