Job summary

Lookahead, a profitable SaaS business, is hiring a Product Manager to own the AI & Automation product area. You’ll join a cross-functional team and manage a 3–6 month roadmap, reporting to the Head of Product with real ownership over your area.

The role requires translating client pain points into clear requirements, partnering with engineering on feasibility and scope, and occasionally speaking directly with clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PM experience in SaaS, end-to-end ownership from discovery to adoption.
• Curiosity about AI and automation, and their product integration.
• Experience building roadmaps from usage data and customer feedback.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to discuss feasibility and integration tradeoffs with engineering.
• Accounting/workflow software background is a nice bonus.

Responsibilities

About the company

Our client is a profitable, bootstrapped SaaS business building document management and AI & automation tools. They have clients across Australia, NZ and the UK, and are steadily growing over the next 12 months.

The role

This is a newly formed Product Manager role owning the AI & Automation product area. You’ll be a part of a cross functional team, executing and refining an existing 3–6 month roadmap rather than starting from a blank page. You’ll report to the Head of Product and have real ownership over your area.

The core challenge of this role is thinking across both AI and automation, and how they intersect in a real product. You’ll need to translate client pain points into clear requirements, partner closely with engineering on feasibility and scope, and be comfortable talking with clients directly when required.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years Product Management experience in SaaS companies, owning outcomes end to end from discovery through to adoption
• Real curiosity about AI and automation, and how they work together in a product context
• A track record of building roadmaps from usage data, support tickets and customer feedback
• Clear verbal and written communication
• Enough technical grounding to work through feasibility and integration tradeoffs with engineering
• Accounting / workflow software background is a nice bonus
