Job summary

Qantas is seeking an experienced Product Manager to define and deliver the product strategy, vision and roadmap for our next-generation booking engine. You will shape the evolution of the re-platformed experience to enhance customer outcomes and boost conversions across flight and reward bookings.

You will work with cross-functional teams, using customer insights and human-centred design to drive measurable value while advising Senior Leaders on product direction and commercial opportunities

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Product Management, with Digital experience essential.
• Experience in airline, travel, e-commerce or other high-volume digital commerce environments preferred.
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Technology or Marketing.

Join Qantas in our brand-new Product and Innovation Centre located in Adelaide to help meet evolving consumer needs by enabling agile teams to deliver faster, more adaptive solutions that prioritise customer value, continuous feedback, and innovation at every stage of the product lifecycle.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the product strategy, vision and roadmap for a key part of Qantas' next-generation booking engine. You will drive the ongoing evolution of our new re-platformed booking experience, identifying opportunities to enhance the customer outcomes, improve conversion and optimise both the commercial flight and reward flight booking journeys.

As part of this role, you will leverage customer insights, data and human-centred design principles to shape product initiatives and enhancements that deliver measurable customer and commercial value while continuously improving the overall product experience.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and provide advice and counsel on general product portfolio strategy and customer experience to Senior Leaders from across the Qantas Group. You will provide recommendations on product direction, revenue growth opportunities and key commercial decisions, helping drive the future evolution of the Qantas booking experience.

You’ll have:

• 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with Digital experience essential/ Experience in airline, travel, e-commerce or other high-volume digital commerce environments will be highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Technology, Marketing or relevant qualifications / experience.
• Product management skills, including strategic and analytical thinking; a customer-centric mindset; familiarity with human-centred design, research and insights; experience defining business requirements and prioritisation; proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies; and knowledge of the Business Model Canvas framework.
• Effective team leadership experience - you are someone who enjoys contributing to strong team dynamics and culture.
• Experience leading an Agile software development squad, working closely with a cross-functional team of business analysts, software engineers and designers.
• The ability to influence key stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
• Effective collaboration, communication and presentation skills to provide advice to various stakeholders.
• Demonstrated organisational expertise, with the ability to work within a complex organisation and group policy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
