Job summary

Qantas Group in Adelaide is seeking a Business Analyst to translate customer and business needs into clear, actionable user stories and solutions within our new Product and Innovation Centre. You will partner with the Product Manager to deliver value across an agile lifecycle and drive data-informed decisions.

With 5+ years in a similar role and strong analytics, you will lead stakeholder workshops, write acceptance criteria, and collaborate with product, engineering and design teams using tools

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar business-analyst role.
  • Experience in large cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, design thinking and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer and business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with the Product Manager to drive feature and process improvements.
  • Support informed decision-making with robust analytics and insights.

Join Qantas in our brand-new Product and Innovation Centre located in Adelaide to help meet evolving consumer needs by enabling agile teams to deliver faster, more adaptive solutions that prioritise customer value, continuous feedback, and innovation at every stage of the product lifecycle.

As the Business Analyst, you will partner with the Product Manager to translate customer and business needs into clear, actionable solutions and user stories that align and engage delivery teams. You bring a strong customer focus, expertise in agile and analytics, and confidence working with stakeholders to generate insights, drive feature and process improvements, and support informed decision-making.

You’ll have:
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role with tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Technology or Marketing.
  • Proven success working in large, cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of modern frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, Design thinking, HCD, multivariate testing, Continuous Improvement.
  • Solid experience establishing and executing reports in a digital analytics or business intelligence (BI) tool, preferably Adobe Analytics and ability to compare data sets to deduce accurate insights.
  • Skilled in writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria for developers, testers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development squad, working closely with a cross-functional team of product managers, software engineers, quality engineers and designers.
  • Robust stakeholder engagement and management skills (day-to-day interpersonal, structured workshops, showcases, and customer journey walkthroughs across all seniority levels).
  • Able to work with a high degree of autonomy and is proactive with initiative and a bias for the customer.
  • Enjoys contributing to strong team dynamics and culture.
  • Proficient in collaboration tools like Miro, JIRA and Confluence for documentation and story management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
