Job summary

ResMed's Mask Product Design and Engineering team in Sydney is seeking a Product Design Engineer who thrives on turning concepts into scalable hardware. You will develop devices from concept through production, prototype, test, refine, and work with suppliers and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing physical products through the design and engineering process.
• Strong 3D CAD capability using Creo, SolidWorks, NX or equivalent.
• Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and DFMA.
• Strong problem solving and clear communication skills.
• Collaborative across disciplines and teams.
• Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Use human centred design and Design Thinking across discovery and product development.
• Explore and communicate concepts using sketches, physical models, prototypes.
• Develop detailed 3D CAD designs balancing fit, form, function and manufacturing.
• Apply tolerance analysis, risk assessment, DFMEA to support decisions.
• Build and test prototypes; use results to improve designs.
• Work across disciplines to understand constraints and solve challenges.
• Develop part specs, drawings and documentation for suppliers and manufacturing.
• Keep up-to-date with materials, manufacturing methods, technologies and design practices.
