Job description

Procurement Transformation & Enablement Manager

At IAG, we’re ready for you. We're the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand. Our family of brands turns the IAG purpose of making your world a safer place into action by helping everyday Aussies and New Zealanders, supporting their ambitions and making insurance accessible.

Procurement is evolving, and this role will be at the centre of that change. As Procurement Transformation & Enablement Manager, you’ll lead a transformation agenda focused on making procurement simpler, smarter and more effective through better processes, data, technology, automation and AI. You’ll set the strategy and turn it into action, delivering change at pace while uplifting supplier risk management, governance and accountability. Working across Procurement, Technology, Risk, Finance and the broader business, you’ll bring stakeholders together around a clear roadmap and help build a future‑ready procurement function that delivers measurable value. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).

What You'll Do
  • Lead Procurement’s transformation strategy and roadmap, translating strategic priorities into practical initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Drive the digitisation and modernisation of procurement, including the implementation of AI, automation, data and technology solutions that improve productivity and decision‑making.
  • Lead continuous improvement across procurement processes, frameworks, policies and ways of working, simplifying how work gets done while strengthening controls.
  • Uplift supplier risk management, embedding consistent practices, enhanced data and insights across the supplier lifecycle.
  • Strengthen supplier governance and accountability, ensuring supplier performance, obligations, risks and emerging issues are effectively monitored and managed.
  • Build strong partnerships across Procurement, Technology, Risk, Finance and the broader business, creating alignment, removing barriers and mobilising stakeholders around change.
  • Provide meaningful supplier risk, governance and transformation reporting and insights to support senior executive oversight and decision‑making.
What You'll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex business, technology or functional transformation, ideally within procurement, commercial or another comparable corporate function
  • Proven ability to set strategy and translate it into execution, developing clear roadmaps and delivering tangible outcomes at pace
  • A sound understanding of procurement and supplier management, including procurement processes, frameworks, governance and contemporary best practice
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and governance, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, controls and assurance
  • Experience using technology, data, automation or AI to redesign processes, improve ways of working and enable better business outcomes
  • Exceptional stakeholder leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, navigate competing viewpoints and build commitment to change
  • Strong delivery and project management capability, including experience working with tools such as Jira and Confluence and leading change through iterative, agile ways of working
What We Offer
  • Boosted superannuation with 13% as standard.
  • 20 days annual leave + 5 days MyLeave (extra leave for what’s important to you).
  • Work from home and many more flexibility options with myFlex.
  • Up to 50% off personal insurance, including home and motor insurance.
  • Partner discounts on private health insurance, tech & appliances, and many more.
  • Industry‑leading 20 weeks paid parental leave.
  • Access to LinkedIn Learning, the award‑winning IAG Academy, study assistance and secondment opportunities.
