Job summary

Effective People is seeking an experienced APS6-level Procurement Officer for a 6-month contract at Canberra Airport, ACT. The role is mainly onsite, paying $75 - $90 per hour including super (negotiable).

You will support the commercial team with procurement planning, documentation and contract administration under CPRs, reporting to an EL1 supervisor. Applicant must have at least three years in Commonwealth procurement, strong CPR knowledge, and current NV1 security clearance.

Qualifications

• Three+ years supporting Commonwealth procurement activities.
• Sound knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and framework.
• Direct experience with whole-of-government procurement arrangements.
• Experience preparing procurement and contract management documentation.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and deadline management.
• Australian citizenship and current NV1 security clearance or above.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement planning and delivery in line with CPRs and policy.
• Work on whole-of-government panels and mandatory procurement arrangements.
• Prepare procurement plans, requests, evaluation reports and sourcing recommendations.
• Support evaluation secretariat work, probity controls and audit-ready records.
• Conduct market research, liaise with suppliers and help administer contracts.
• Prepare briefs, correspondence, status reports and procurement registers.
