Job summary

HorizonOne Recruitment is assisting a federal government agency in Canberra to recruit an APS6/EL1 Procurement Officer. This role sits in the Corporate Division and serves as the first point of contact for procurement guidance across the agency.

You will provide procurement guidance to line areas, act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, and help design procurement systems to support the agency as it grows. Eligibility includes Australian citizenship and Baseline clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience providing procurement guidance within a corporate function.
• Customer-focused approach and ability to advise internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously while establishing new systems and processes.
• Experience in a Commonwealth Government central or corporate function is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of procurement guidelines and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and procurement guidance to line areas across the agency.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on procurement approaches and processes.
• Support design and establishment of procurement systems and processes for a growing agency.
• Contribute to broader corporate activities as the agency scales up.
