Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Health Manager Level 3 to lead senior procurement functions within the Procurement and Contract Management Office, NSLHD. The role focuses on procurement planning, tender and quotation management, data analysis and reporting to drive value for money.

You will coordinate activities across NSLHD and HealthShare NSW, analyse contract data, develop project plans and monitor performance. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in procurement, contracts, business or related field.
• Experience analysing procurement/financial data and turning it into recommendations.
• Experience planning procurement projects, including tenders/quotations.

What you'll be doing

The position is responsible for the provision of senior operational procurement functions for NSLHD, including procurement planning, tender and quotation management, procurement analysis, project delivery and performance reporting.
The position will plan, coordinate and execute procurement activities across assigned categories and projects, working closely with NSLHD stakeholders and HealthShare NSW to achieve value for money, procurement compliance, service requirements and identified savings and efficiency outcomes.
The role is also responsible for analysing procurement and contract data, identifying procurement opportunities, developing procurement project plans, supporting category management activities and monitoring procurement performance.
The position will work closely with the Procurement Manager and other Procurement, Contracts and Commercial staff to ensure procurement activities are delivered in accordance with NSW Health, NSW Government and NSLHD procurement requirements.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

• Tertiary qualifications in procurement, contracts, business or a related field and / or equivalent professional experience in those fields.
• Demonstrated experience analysing procurement, financial or contract information and translating complex data into practical recommendations, reports and procurement actions.
• Demonstrated experience planning and managing procurement projects, including tender or quotation processes, supported by strong analytical, problem-solving, planning and time-management skills.

Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to conduct complex negotiations, coupled with a consultative and facilitative approach to problem solving and strategy development.
