Job summary

CPB Contractors is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our project delivery team working on a large infrastructure project initially based in Brisbane. You will support end-to-end procurement with procurement, commercial and project delivery teams, sourcing materials, services and subcontractors in line with project requirements.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in procurement within construction or infrastructure, strong organisational and communication skills, and relevant

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a procurement officer or advisor role, ideally within construction or infrastructure.
• Experience working with suppliers, subcontractors and project delivery teams.
• Relevant industry or tertiary qualifications such as a certificate or higher.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and obtaining quotes through to purchase orders and delivery.
• Coordinate with project teams to understand procurement requirements, timelines and specifications.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships, including pricing, availability and performance.
• Maintain procurement records, systems and reporting, ensuring compliance with project and company processes.
• Assist with procurement negotiations, cost comparisons and identifying opportunities for cost and process efficiencies.
• Ensure adherence to CPB Contractors procurement policies and project requirements.

The Project

CPB is working on a large infrastructure project as part of building Queensland’s future. We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our project delivery team on a project initially based in Brisbane until you transfer on to the project.

As a Procurement Officer, you’ll be working closely with the procurement, commercial and project delivery teams, supporting the end-to-end procurement process across the project, ensuring materials, services and subcontractor requirements are sourced efficiently, competitively and in line with project requirements. This is a great opportunity for a procurement professional looking to build their experience on a major Tier 1 infrastructure project, working within a fast-paced project environment and alongside an experienced delivery team.

Key Responsibilities
