Job summary

CPB Contractors is seeking a Project Engineer for a major regional Queensland infrastructure project. You will coordinate the engineering and delivery of work packages, collaborating with the Project Manager and delivery team on a fast-paced construction environment.

Roles involve strong collaboration with site engineers, consultants and subcontractors across 15:6 rosters, with a focus on safety, quality and timely delivery of milestones.

Qualifications

• We require a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as an engineer on major infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools and knowledge of industry codes, standards and regulations.
• Strong project management skills with ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering and technical delivery of infrastructure work packages from planning through to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to deliver works safely, on program and to spec.
• Manage program, procurement, cost tracking, quality and technical documentation for packages.
• Review designs, resolve issues and coordinate RFIs, ITPs, inspections and approvals.
• Work with Project Manager, Site Engineers and construction teams to drive delivery and quality.

The Project

CPB is working on a major infrastructure project in regional Queensland, involving the construction and delivery of a large scale, highly technical facility. We are currently seeking experienced Project Engineers to join our project delivery team, working on a complex, fast paced construction environment.

As a Project Engineer, you will be working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, responsible for the engineering and coordination of allocated work packages across this major infrastructure project.

We are seeking engineers who are comfortable working in project environments, with roles predominantly operating on a 15:6 roster and aligned to key project delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering and technical delivery of infrastructure work packages from planning through to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants and suppliers, ensuring works are delivered safely, on program and to specification.
• Manage program, procurement, cost tracking, quality and technical documentation for allocated packages.
• Review designs, resolve technical issues and coordinate RFIs, ITPs, inspections and approvals.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers and construction teams to drive project delivery, safety, quality and commercial outcomes.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a engineer on major infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools and knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards and regulations.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
