The organisation is looking for an experienced APS5-6 Procurement Officer with strong government procurement and contract management experience. They need someone who can manage procurement, tenders, contracts, suppliers and financial processes, while ensuring compliance with government requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities, including labour hire and other procurement requirements.
- Prepare procurement approvals, tender documentation and evaluation reports.
- Administer tenders through AusTender and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Manage contracts, including extensions, renewals, close-outs and contract management plans.
- Create and manage contracts, purchase orders and agreements in SAP.
- Process invoices, payments, reconciliations and other financial administration.
- Manage procurement mailboxes and respond to supplier and stakeholder enquiries.
- Provide advice on procurement compliance, legislation, policies and Australian Government requirements.
- Support tender evaluations and contract administration.
- Maintain contractor access and support timesheet and end-of-month processes.
- Identify and resolve procurement and contract issues.
- Work independently, manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement.
Skills & Experience
- 4+ years’ experience in government procurement.
- Strong knowledge of the PGPA Act and Australian Government procurement requirements.
- Government/public sector contract management experience.
- Experience with the Commonwealth Contracting Suite (CCS).
- Experience supporting tenders, evaluations and procurement approvals.
- Experience with SAP or similar procurement/financial systems.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, compliance and processes.
- Experience managing contracts, purchase orders, invoices and financial records.
- Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving ability and initiative.
