The City of Ballarat is seeking a Procurement Officer to support the delivery of procurement, tendering and contract management activities across Council. You will work under the Procurement Coordinator to provide administration, systems support and stakeholder assistance in line with Council policies and guidelines.
Key responsibilities include managing PCMS and online tendering platforms, supporting tendering activities, maintaining procurement records and contributing to compliance reporting.
The Procurement Officer plays an important support role within Council's Procurement team, assisting with the delivery of best practice procurement and tendering activities across the organisation.
Reporting to the Procurement Coordinator, you will provide procurement administration, systems support and customer assistance in accordance with Council's Procurement Policy, Procurement Procedure and associated guidelines. You will assist with the administration of Council's procurement and contract management systems, support tendering activities, maintain procurement records and contribute to procurement compliance reporting.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in administration, procurement support, contract administration or a similar office-based environment.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with systems, processes and stakeholders while contributing to the effective delivery of procurement outcomes across Council.
