• Experience in asset-intensive industries such as waste management, transport, logistics, infrastructure or manufacturing.

• Develop and implement the Company's procurement strategy and governance framework.
• Lead strategic sourcing, RFQ and tender processes for OPEX and CAPEX.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and manage supplier relationships.
• Drive cost savings, value improvement and procurement controls.
• Monitor procurement spends, compliance and reporting outcomes.
• Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Fleet, IT, Finance and HR.

About the Role

As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Company's procurement strategy, governance framework, policies and systems.

You will lead sourcing and tender activities, negotiate commercial agreements, manage supplier relationships and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen procurement controls across the business.

This role combines strategy and hands-on delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building processes, driving improvement and creating long-term commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Company's procurement strategy and annual procurement plans
• Establish procurement policies, procedures and governance frameworks
• Lead strategic sourcing, RFQ and tender processes for operational and capital expenditure
• Deliver measurable cost savings and value improvement initiatives
• Manage supplier onboarding, due diligence and performance reviews
• Build and maintain strong supplier and contractor relationships
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals and supplier performance management
• Monitor procurement spends, compliance and reporting outcomes
• Identify and mitigate supply chain, contractual and commercial risks
• Support the evaluation and implementation of procurement technology solutions
• Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Fleet, Finance, IT and HR to deliver procurement outcomes that support business objectives

About You

You are an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to influence outcomes.

You will bring:

• Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Demonstrated success in procurement, strategic sourcing and contract management
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
• Experience developing procurement policies, governance frameworks and reporting processes
• Sound commercial, financial and analytical capability
• The ability to identify opportunities, challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A collaborative and practical approach to problem solving
• CIPS qualification or membership
• Qualifications in contract management, project management or supply chain management
• Experience within waste management, transport, logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing, utilities or other asset-intensive industries
