Job summary

Agrifutures, based in Melbourne’s western suburbs, is seeking a Procurement Manager to shape sourcing strategy, strengthen supplier relationships and deliver commercial outcomes. You will lead tenders, manage suppliers both locally and internationally, and drive cost savings across materials, packaging and logistics.

You will thrive in a hands-on, autonomous role within a lean environment, collaborating with Operations, Quality and Finance to achieve excellent supplier performance and continuity.

Qualifications

• Proven cost savings through sourcing and negotiations.
• Strong supplier relationship and performance management experience.
• Experience managing tenders and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Understanding of supplier qualification and quality requirements (HACCP/GMP exposure preferred).
• Ability to work with Operations, Quality, Finance and Technical teams.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Procurement Manager to join a growing global FMCG business based in Melbourne's western suburbs. Reporting to the Operations Director, this is a broad, hands-on role with the opportunity to shape sourcing strategy, strengthen supplier relationships and deliver meaningful commercial outcomes.

• Establish supplier KPIs and performance reviews
• Work across raw materials, ingredients, packaging, freight, energy and waste

About you

You will be an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management and commercial negotiations within a manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing experience is highly desirable, with candidates from dairy, ingredients, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries also encouraged to apply.
