Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a Procurement Manager in Melbourne's western suburbs to lead strategic sourcing across direct and indirect categories within a growing FMCG business. You will own tender processes, manage domestic and international suppliers, and drive cost savings while strengthening supply continuity.

You will work closely with Operations, Quality, and Finance to deliver meaningful commercial outcomes, balancing a hands-on approach with strategic initiatives in a lean manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience leading strategic sourcing across direct and indirect categories.
• Proven cost savings through sourcing and negotiation.
• Experience with tenders and supplier qualification.
• Strong stakeholder management across Operations, Quality, Finance and Technical teams.
• HACCP/GMP exposure is highly regarded.

About you

You will be an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management and commercial negotiations within a manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing experience is highly desirable, with candidates from dairy, ingredients, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries also encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Proven experience delivering cost savings through sourcing and negotiation
• Strong supplier relationship and performance management experience
• Experience managing tenders and strategic sourcing initiatives
• An understanding of supplier qualification and quality requirements, with HACCP/GMP exposure highly regarded
• Strong stakeholder management skills across Operations, Quality, Finance and Technical teams
• A hands‑on and pragmatic approach, with the ability to operate autonomously in a lean environment
• The confidence to work across all levels of the organisation
