Job summary

Phillip Riley is seeking an experienced procurement and contracting professional for a client in Australia. The role leads the contracting strategy for wind and related project assets, with direct access to senior leadership and a focus on BoP/EPC, turbine supply, and LTSA/O&M arrangements.

You will drive tender processes, assess commercial risk, and contribute to investment papers as projects move toward construction and financial close.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, contract negotiation or commercial management in renewables.
• Proven experience leading negotiations on wind or BESS projects.
• Strong commercial judgment and risk awareness for major contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement and contracting strategies for utility‑scale projects, including risk allocation.
• Lead tender processes from market engagement through evaluation and award.
• Negotiate and close key agreements (BoP/EPC, turbine supply, LTSA/O&M).
• Prepare commercial inputs for investment cases and board updates.
• Identify and advise on commercial risks with external counsel and advisors.
• Set up Early Contractor Involvement arrangements and support contract management into construction
