Job summary

Phillip Riley seeks an experienced Project QA & HSE Lead for a major renewable infrastructure project in Queensland. The role oversees QA/QC and HSE across the project, collaborating with management, construction teams, and contractors.

The ideal candidate has strong QA/QC and HSE backgrounds, with experience on large-scale infrastructure or wind farm projects, and the ability to lead site-based quality and safety assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control with substantial HSE experience.
• Experience on large-scale construction, infrastructure or renewable energy projects (Wind Farm preferred).
• Experience managing or assuring contractor/subcontractor performance.
• Strong understanding of project quality systems, ITPs, NCRs, audits and quality documentation.
• Strong understanding of HSE systems, risk management and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project-wide QA/QC activities across civil, electrical and balance-of-plant works.
• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan and quality systems.
• Review ITPs, Quality Inspection Records and documentation.
• Conduct quality inspections, surveillance activities and audits on project works.
• Monitor contractor/subcontractor compliance with specifications and contractual requirements.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
• Review MDRs and handover dossiers; verify works against requirements.
• Support implementation of project HSE systems and requirements.
• Monitor HSE compliance, conduct site audits and inspections.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses and non-conformances as required.
• Promote safety culture and manage SIMOPS/interface risks.
