Talent Web Recruitment has partnered with a well-established infrastructure organisation to recruit a Procurement Officer / Assistant Accountant for a 12-month contract in South Sydney. The role blends procurement admin, procure-to-pay activities and hands-on accounting support within a collaborative finance team.

The position suits someone with procurement, accounts administration or assistant accounting experience who enjoys working across functions and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience across procurement, accounts administration or assistant accounting.
• Exposure to purchase order management and vendor administration.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (prefer Dynamics 365) and intermediate to advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and administer purchase orders across multiple business units.
• Act as the key point of contact for procurement-related queries.
• Manage vendor onboarding, maintenance and verification processes.
• Support invoice capture processes and resolve invoice exceptions.
• Coordinate corporate card reconciliations and employee expense claims.
• Assist with month-end journals including accruals, prepayments and intercompany recharges.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting finance workpapers.
• Process intercompany invoices and ad hoc customer billings.
• Provide support across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as required.
• Contribute to systems enhancements, testing and process improvement initiatives.
