Job summary

Queensland University of Technology is seeking a Procurement Improvement Lead to join Finance Business Solutions, Chancellery Division. The role develops and implements procurement processes, tools and training to boost efficiency, governance and user experience while supporting value-driven procurement aligned to QUT’s strategy.

Hybrid work is available. Based in Kelvin Grove, the position requires extensive procurement experience, stakeholder influence, and commitment to equity and Indigenous

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification or progress toward postgraduate with procurement experience.
• Experience designing and delivering new procurement processes and training to improve ways of working.
• Strong business acumen and ability to advise on procurement governance and outcomes.
• Engage across multiple areas to support category strategies and procurement outcomes.
• Manage multiple stakeholders and drive efficiencies and centre-led procurement.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with clear advice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement processes, tools, guidance and training to improve efficiency and governance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across QUT to identify opportunities and build procurement capability.
• Support strategic sourcing and contracting activities aligned to QUT’s objectives.
• Embed customer-focused procurement practices and explore digital solutions.
• Contribute to initiatives that strengthen procurement performance across the university.
• Provide well-researched advice and build partnerships to support delivery of procurement outcomes.
