Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Non-Clinical Buyer to support the Procurement Department with a range of purchasing tasks and supplier negotiations. The post offers a development route including potential study for CIPS Level 4 and training to support NHS systems such as Oracle and iProc.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing within a healthcare or public sector environment preferred.
• Ability to action requisitions, create orders and manage supplier quotations.
• Understanding of standing financial instructions and procurement policies.

Responsibilities

• Create official purchase orders from electronic requisitions in Oracle for Trust needs.
• Obtain best value through contracts, quotations and negotiating favourable terms.
• Support end users of the Oracle/iProc/E4H system and respond to requisition queries.
