Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Technician for Pharmacy Purchasing and IT Systems to support the pharmacy department and the wider trust. The role focuses on compliant procurement and IT system enhancements to improve patient care.

The post holder will help organise the pharmacy procurement and homecare team, maintain stock control, and contribute to negotiating and monitoring contracts for cost-effective medicines and services.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with standing financial instructions and national standards for NHS pharmaceutical procurement services.
• Organise the pharmacy procurement and homecare team.
• Maintain and develop IT systems in the pharmacy department.
• Manage the pharmacy stock control system.
• Support contract negotiations and monitor contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.

The postholder will support the pharmacy department and wider trust in: Ensuring compliance with standing financial instructions and national standards for NHS pharmaceutical procurement services Organising the pharmacy procurement and homecare team The maintenance and development of IT systems in the pharmacy department In managing the pharmacy stock control system Acting as a role model for the use and development of Information Technology and supports the development and implementation of IT systems to ensure the best possible patient care. Helping to develop specialist, technical purchasing services ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement of medicines for the Trust, including negotiating and monitoring contracts, as appropriate.
