Job summary

Ignite is seeking an experienced Procurement Business Partner to lead strategic procurement, commercial and contract management activities within a complex government environment.

Contract Type: Labour Hire, Duration: 6 months + extension, Location: Bentley – Perth, WA, Indicative Rate: 75.00–83.00 AUD per hour + Super.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in commercial procurement, including negotiating and managing spend in a complex organisation.
• Experience working within Federal or State Government.
• Proven project management experience, including planning, prioritisation, risk and issue management.
• Strong stakeholder management across executives, suppliers, government agencies and ministerial offices.

This organisation is looking for an experienced Procurement Business Partner to lead strategic procurement, commercial and contract management activities within a complex government environment.

• Contract Type: Labour Hire

• Indicative Rate: $75.00 – 83.00 Per Hour + Super

Experience Required

• Essential: Experience working within Federal or State Government.
• Significant experience in commercial procurement, including negotiating and managing spend in a complex organisation.
• Proven experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, including developing business cases, defining requirements and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management experience across internal and external stakeholders, including executives, suppliers, government agencies and ministerial offices.
• Ability to analyse complex business relationships and information to support informed decision-making.
• Proven project management experience, including planning, prioritisation, risk and issue management.

Key Skills and Attributes

• Strong procurement knowledge across Source-to-Contract, Contract Management, Procure-to-Pay, procurement systems, spend management, probity and supplier management.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, risks and deadlines.
• Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across teams and the wider organisation.
• Strong understanding of procurement, enterprise value, commercial risk and governance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated, proactive and able to work autonomously in a complex environment.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI, and experience with procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle or Ellipse.
• Sound knowledge of contract law and relevant legislative and regulatory obligations.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.
