Job summary

Compass Group Australia is seeking an Associate Buyer to support sourcing, supplier onboarding and procurement operations across multiple service categories. This role is office-based with hybrid flexibility and involves collaborating with Senior Buyers and Category Managers to deliver efficient supplier solutions.

You will manage RFQs, RFPs and tender activities, maintain procurement data and reporting, and build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive value.

Qualifications

• Min 2-3 years in procurement with junior buying or sourcing experience.
• Exposure to a formal or mature purchasing environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and commercial awareness.
• Understanding of pricing models and supply & demand and macro-economics.
• Operations knowledge or experience in logistics or support services an advantage.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier onboarding process and compliance.
• Collaborate with and support the Senior Buyer and Category Manager
• Populate and submit RFQs, RFPs and tender activities for review and final draft.
• Maintain procurement systems, data and reporting.
• Work closely with stakeholders to deliver efficient, customer-focused solutions
• Become vendor and category management subject matter expert
