Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking reliable Process Workers with counterbalance forklift experience to join a busy pet food production facility in Laverton North.

You will start as a Process Worker, complete site training, and progress to forklift duties once signed off. The role offers casual ongoing hours, with Monday to Friday starts at 5:00am, in a pet food environment that can be odourful and demanding.

Qualifications

• Current LF forklift licence is mandatory.
• Previous counterbalance forklift experience is mandatory.
• Available to start Monday to Friday at 5:00am.
• Comfortable working in a pet food environment with odour.
• Physically fit for repetitive manual handling tasks.
• Willing to undertake process work while training.

Responsibilities

• Process and production work within a pet food manufacturing environment
• Packing, sorting and general production line duties
• Manual handling and repetitive tasks
• Operating a counterbalance forklift once trained and signed off
• Moving pallets, raw materials and finished products
• Working across fresh, chilled and frozen areas

Process Worker / Counterbalance Forklift Operator – Pet Food Production

About the Role

Chandler Macleod is currently seeking reliable and hardworking Process Workers with counterbalance forklift experience to join a busy pet food production facility in Laverton North.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for ongoing Monday to Friday work, with the opportunity to upskill and take on forklift duties.

You will initially work as a Process Worker, completing site training and working towards being signed off on the site's forklift requirements. Once signed off, you will perform a combination of process work and counterbalance forklift duties.

Please note, this is a pet food production environment and has a strong odour. You must be comfortable working around pet food products and in a smelly environment on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and production work within a pet food manufacturing environment
• Packing, sorting and general production line duties

• Operating a counterbalance forklift once trained and signed off
• Moving pallets, raw materials and finished products
• Working across fresh, chilled and frozen areas

What We're Looking For

• Current LF forklift licence – mandatory
• Previous counterbalance forklift experience – mandatory
• Available to work Monday to Friday from 5:00am
• Comfortable working in a strong odour / pet food environment
• Comfortable working in cold and frozen areas
• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual handling tasks
• Reliable, punctual and committed to workplace safety
• Willing to undertake process work while completing forklift training and site sign-off

• Food manufacturing or production experience
• Pet food, meat, abattoir or frozen food experience
• Warehouse experience
• Palletising and scanning experience
