Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking reliable Process Workers with counterbalance forklift experience to join a busy pet food production facility in Laverton North. The role starts with processing duties and training for forklift sign-off, then combines process work with forklift tasks.

Weekly hours are Monday to Friday with 5:00am starts, and the site environment is odour-heavy. Ideal candidates hold a current LF forklift licence and have prior counterbalance forklift experience.

Qualifications

• Current LF forklift licence – mandatory.
• Previous counterbalance forklift experience – mandatory.
• Available to work Monday to Friday from 5:00am.
• Comfortable working in a strong odour/pet food environment.
• Comfortable working in cold and frozen areas.
• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual handling tasks.
• Willing to undertake process work while completing forklift training and site sign-off.

Responsibilities

• Process and production work within a pet food manufacturing environment.
• Packing, sorting and general production line duties.
• Manual handling and repetitive tasks.
• Operating a counterbalance forklift once trained and signed off.
• Moving pallets, raw materials and finished products.
• Working across fresh, chilled and frozen areas.

Process Worker / Counterbalance Forklift Operator – Pet Food Production

About the Role

Chandler Macleod is currently seeking reliable and hardworking Process Workers with counterbalance forklift experience to join a busy pet food production facility in Laverton North.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for ongoing Monday to Friday work, with the opportunity to upskill and take on forklift duties.

You will initially work as a Process Worker, completing site training and working towards being signed off on the site's forklift requirements. Once signed off, you will perform a combination of process work and counterbalance forklift duties.

Please note, this is a pet food production environmentand has a strong odour. You must be comfortable working around pet food products and in a smelly environment on a daily basis.
