The position is full-time, working 38 hours plus 2 hours overtime each week, on weekdays between 7:00am to 3:30pm. Occasionally, when we're extra busy additional overtime might be available.
We're looking for an energetic, reliable person to carry out a range of duties which result in our products being packed in labelled containers ready for sale, including:
Retrieving and preparing packaging materials
Labelling empty containers
Assembling and labelling cartons
Filling containers with liquid products
Washing returned containers - bottles, drums & IBC's
Operating labelling, carton assembly and liquid filling machines
Storingaway finished goods
Stock counting
Thisrole suits someone whoenjoys doing repetitive process work and working efficiently with a team to achieve daily objectives, and dealing courteously with people of all backgrounds. They need to have a good ability to communicate with fellow staff and customers, have a high level of stamina for physical work,accurate basic numerical skills and an eye for detail.
Most of our products are chemical liquids, which are packed in 5 litre and 20 litre containers, so the successful applicantmustbe abletolift goodsweighing up to 25kg.
Consistent attendance, being adaptable to changing duties, and an ability to work calmly under pressure and 'get on with the job' are all important.
Previous experience in manufacturing, process work, packing and a current forklift licence would be an advantage.
