Job summary

Perspective Recruitment is seeking a warehouse general assistant in Melbourne for pick/pack duties in a temperature-controlled environment. You will work with an electronic voice-picking system, despatch orders, and assist with inwards goods while maintaining safety and speed.

Training is provided and there is potential to move to permanent part-time after several months. Casual start with 20–30 hours weekly and shifts including 5:00am and 11:00am starts.

Qualifications

• Ideally have experience as a pick/packer or warehouse operator.
• Must be available 7 days a week for rostering purposes (D/S or A/S).
• Flexible with finishing times to ensure order completion.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Voice picking experience advantageous.
• Pallet stacking, wrapping and palletising would be viewed upon favourably.
• Must be able to work unsupervised and use initiative.
• Higher focus on quality, accuracy and productivity.
• Own licence and reliable transport preferred.
• Temperatures controlled warehouse experience encouraged.

Job description

The Role:

The positions involve using an electronic voice-picking system to pick and pack grocery products up to 16kg in weight, in a fast-paced and repetitive environment.

You will be provided with comprehensive training and support, job stability and tailored to be a valued member of the team.

Daily duties include despatch and staging orders, breakdown of inwards goods, voice picking, tugger operating and pallet wrapping.

Initially employed on a casual basis, a monthly roster offering an average of 20 - 30hrs per week, working 4-5 days per week.

Shifts available:

• 5:00am start (limited)
• 11:00am start

Payrate: $36-$39 an hour + weekend penalties + superannuation
