Job summary

Regis Resources is seeking an experienced Process Technician Level 3 to join our processing operations in Laverton, WA. You’ll monitor and optimise the plant, troubleshoot issues, and guide less senior operators to ensure safe, efficient production and targets are met.

You will also provide training, support to the team, and step into a Relief Shift Supervisor role when required. This is a site-based role on an 8:6 / 7:7 roster with day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Process Technician in a gold plant.
• Experience operating three or more areas of a processing plant (crushing, milling, loaders, tank circuits).
• Certificate II in Metalliferous Mining (Processing) or equivalent.
• Strong process control and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience training, mentoring or guiding other operators.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Attention to detail and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and optimise processing plant equipment to maximise production and plant performance.
• Use computerised process control systems to adjust plant parameters and maintain efficiency.
• Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards, faults and issues.
• Start up, shut down, monitor and adjust production circuits.
• Respond to malfunctions and process anomalies to minimise downtime and maximise recovery.
• Isolate and permit equipment for maintenance per site procedures.
• Maintain accurate operational, sampling and quality control records.
• Train and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 Process Technicians.
• Act as Relief Process Shift Supervisor when required.

Job Description

The opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Process Technician Level 3 to join our processing operations team. Reporting to the Process Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in operating and optimising the processing plant, using your problem-solving skills and operational expertise to maintain safe, efficient and reliable production outcomes.

As a senior member of the operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling plant performance through computerised process control systems, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring production targets are achieved. You will also provide guidance and support to less experienced operators, assist with training and development activities, and step into the role of Relief Shift Supervisor when required.

This is a site-based role, working on an 8:6 / 7:7 roster (day shift and night shift).

The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Include

• Operate, monitor and optimise processing plant equipment to maximise production and plant performance
• Utilise computerised process control systems to adjust plant parameters and maintain operational efficiency
• Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify and rectify hazards, equipment faults and process issues
• Start up, shut down, monitor and adjust production circuits in accordance with operational requirements
• Respond effectively to plant malfunctions and process anomalies to minimise downtime and maximise recovery
• Isolate and permit plant equipment for maintenance activities in accordance with site procedures
• Maintain accurate operational, sampling and quality control records
• Train, mentor and support Level 1 and Level 2 Process Technicians to build team capability and operational knowledge
• Act as Relief Process Shift Supervisor when required, providing leadership and operational direction to the team

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

To Be Successful For This Role, You Will Have

• Demonstrated experience as a Process Technician in a gold plant
• Previous experience operating three or more areas of a processing plant, such as crushing, milling, loader operations or tank circuits
• A Certificate II in Metalliferous Mining (Processing) or equivalent, with Certificate III studies well regarded
• Strong process control and troubleshooting capabilities
• Experience training, mentoring or providing guidance to other operators
• Sound communication, leadership and organisational skills
• A demonstrated commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental compliance
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control processes
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• A demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and hazard identification
• Mobile Plant nationally accredited licence holder with experience in the safe operation of Loader, Skid Steer, Forklift and Mini Excavators
• S26 certificate
• High Risk Licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space
• Senior First Aid certificate
• A current WA manual driver’s licence
