Job summary

Regis Resources Ltd in Laverton, WA, is seeking an experienced Process Technician Level 2 to join the processing team. Reporting to the Process Shift Supervisor, you will maintain safe and efficient plant operations, achieving production targets and quality standards across multiple processing areas.

This site-based role operates on an 8:6 / 7:7 roster (day shift and night shift). Candidates will have gold plant experience, relevant licences and a commitment to safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Process Technician in a gold plant.
• Experience operating crushing, milling and CIL processing sections.
• Certificate II in Metalliferous Mining (Processing) with progression toward Certificate III.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate and optimise plant processes to meet targets.
• Inspect for hazards, equipment defects and irregularities.
• Perform sampling, testing and quality control.
• Start up, shut down, monitor and adjust equipment.
• Respond to malfunctions and alarms to minimise downtime.

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Process Technician Level 2 to join our processing team. Reporting to the Process Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining safe and efficient plant operations, ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved while operating across multiple areas of the processing plant.

As a Process Technician Level 2, you will be responsible for monitoring and adjusting process controls, conducting routine inspections, performing sampling and quality control activities, and responding to plant equipment or process issues. You will work closely with operational and maintenance teams to maximise plant performance, maintain process efficiencies, and contribute to a safe and productive workplace.

This is a site-based role, working on an 8:6 / 7:7 roster (day shift and night shift).

The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Include

• Monitor, operate and optimise plant processes to maintain production targets and operating efficiencies
• Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify hazards, equipment defects and process irregularities
• Perform sampling, testing and quality control activities in accordance with operational requirements
• Start up, shut down, monitor and adjust processing plant equipment as required
• Respond effectively to plant malfunctions, alarms and process anomalies to minimise downtime
• Maintain accurate operational, sampling and quality control records
• Work collaboratively with maintenance personnel, metallurgists, laboratory staff and operational teams to achieve production objectives
• Demonstrate a proactive commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

To Be Successful For This Role, You Will Have

• Demonstrated experience as a Process Technician in a gold plant
• Previous experience operating multiple sections of a processing plant, including crushing, milling and CIL operations
• A Certificate II in Metalliferous Mining (Processing) or equivalent, with progression toward Certificate III highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control processes
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• A demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and hazard identification
• Mobile Plant nationally accredited licence holder with experience in the safe operation of Loader, Skid Steer, Forklift and Mini Excavators
• High Risk Licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space
• Senior First Aid certificate
• A current WA manual driver’s licence
