Job summary

Hyne Timber is seeking a Process Operator for our Tumbarumba Mill. You will be part of a safety‑conscious, multi-skilled team, operating across Green Mill Night Shift, Dry Mill Day Shift (6 months fixed term) and Despatch Day Shift with forklift requirements.

Training and career development are provided. You will base at Tumbarumba, NSW, 90 minutes from Wagga Wagga & Albury, with above‑award wages and 30% shift allowances.

Responsibilities

• Operate on Green Mill Night Shift (10-hour shifts)
• Assist with Dry Mill Day Shift and Despatch Day Shift duties as required
• Maintain safety and quality standards in timber processing
• Support cross-functional tasks and problem-solve with team
• Complete shift handovers and basic shift reporting
• Contribute to a stable, long-term working environment

Your Next Role

Due to internal movements within our business Hyne are offering exciting opportunities to grow, develop and learn as a Process Operator at our Tumbarumba Mill. In this role you will be supported with training on the operation of various parts of our business and be shown our processes and procedures to create a high-quality timber product.

Current Shifts Available

Green Mill Night Shift

• Hours: 10 hour shifts, 7:30pm - 5:40am
• 4 days a week, Monday night - Friday morning
• Full Time Job Opportunity with leave entitlements
• Includes 30% Shift Allowance

Dry Mill Day Shift - 6 months fixed term role

• Hours: 10 hour shift, 6:20am - 4:30pm
• 4 days a week, Monday - Thursday
• 6 Month fixed term role

Despatch Day Shift (Forklift Ticket Required)

• Hours: 8 hour shifts, 6:30am - 2:30pm
• 5 days a week, Monday - Friday
• Full Time Job Opportunity with leave entitlements
• Forklif ticket required
