Centurion Water, part of Centurion APAC, is seeking experienced Process Operators for upcoming projects across Australia. You will operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment systems, including filtration, RO, chlorination, UV, DAF, SBR and MBR technologies.

This role is based at sites in Queensland with a hands-on, proactive approach and a focus on safety and quality. The position offers a full-time permanent contract with opportunities to mobilise quickly on upcoming contracts.

Competenze

• Minimum of 2 years proven experience in water and/or wastewater operations.
• WP30222 Cert III in Water Operations is highly regarded.
• Experience with SBR or other biological treatment processes will be highly regarded.
• RO experience highly regarded.
• Proven hands‑on mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret P&ID and PFD drawings.
• Accurate and timely documentation in line with company procedures, quality systems, and safety standards.

About the role

This is an Expression of Interest role for a Process Operator role. We have a number of upcoming operations contracts, and to ensure we are ready to hit the ground running, we are actively building a talent pool of experienced Operators. While this is not an immediate vacancy, the projects will require rapid mobilisation in the near future. We are seeking proactive professionals who want to be first in line when this project kicks off.

We will be looking for experienced water/wastewater process operators with a proactive, hands‑on attitude to join our team. You would be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems — including but not limited to filtration, reverse osmosis (RO), chlorination, UV disinfection, DAF, SBR and MBR technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the site supervisor and follow instructions to ensure smooth plant operations
• Comply with all safety procedures and site protocols at all times
• Record daily operational data, including flow rates, pressures, and other key plant metrics

What we’re looking for

• Minimum of 2 years proven experience in water and/or wastewater operations (essential)
• WP30222 Cert III in Water Operations is highly regarded
• Previous experience with SBR or other biological treatment processes will be highly regarded
• RO experience highly regarded
• Proven hands‑on mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong problem‑solving and process knowledge
• Experience in troubleshooting and calibrating instrumentation and sensors
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID and PFD drawings
• Accurate and timely documentation in line with company procedures, quality systems, and safety standards
