Job summary

Pallion, the largest precious metal services group in Australasia, is seeking an operator to support refinery daily operations. Responsibilities include melting, sampling, barring and granulating precious metals, quality inspection, stamping and serialising bars, and maintaining stock with LBMA and SGE standards.

The role requires accuracy, reliability and ability to work under pressure. Successful candidates will be part of a multi-site team, with training in daily operations and adherence to

Responsibilities

• Complete furnace and melting operations including the processing of gold, silver, platinum and palladium.
• Melt and sample internal and customer jobs including dip sampling and homogeneous melting.
• Complete fine metal barring and granulating work as required.
• Quality inspection of all investment bars completed within the refinery.
• Complete operations of stamping and serialising investment bars.
• Ensure that the bars produced from the polishing process are of the highest quality.
• Assist with metal and stock transfers between Pallion sites as required.
• Control and maintain precious metal bar and granule stock.
• Maintain a high-quality standard to satisfy LBMA and SGE gold accreditation.
• Ensure all recoveries are retrieved and processed in a timely manner.

About the role

The purpose of the role is to perform a variety of duties within the Refinery and to be trained in the daily operations where required, while ensuring best practice standards in the delivery of the final product.

Key responsibilities

Complete furnace and melting operations including the processing of gold, silver, platinum and palladium

Complete fine metal barring and granulating work as required
