Job summary

Cleanaway Waste Management on the Gold Coast is seeking a hands-on Liquid Waste Operator to join our permanent, full-time team in Yatala, QLD.

The role involves directing industrial liquid waste through proper systems and operating processing equipment while adhering to safety standards, with a 4:00am–5:00pm shift window and potential overtime on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• C class driver’s licence and forklift licence required or highly desirable.
• First aid certificate and fire extinguisher training would be highly regarded.
• Experience operating machinery in an industrial environment.
• Experience in processing and/or wastewater treatment facilities would be advantageous.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime with short notice is essential.

Responsibilities

• Direct industrial liquid waste through the correct systems to ensure safety.
• Operate and monitor processing equipment.
• Conduct industrial liquid waste sample analysis.
• Load and unload industrial liquid waste.
• Transfer waste from collection containers and loading/unloading primarily liquid waste trucks.
• Diagnose faults in plant and equipment.

• Permanent - Full-time position – Yatala, QLD
• $35.88 per hour
• Monday to Friday - must be available to work shifts between 4:00am and 5:00pm.
• Available for overtime and Saturdays as required – Overtime paid at penalty rates
• Uniforms and PPE provided
