Job summary

SIG Group is seeking a Process Operator for their Playford, SA operations. You will work in the Bag Room Department, visually inspecting, removing and packing bags to ensure safety and quality. The role includes following Standard Work, reporting defects, and maintaining machine readiness.

Applicants should be prepared for early shifts, have transport, and are encouraged by career growth opportunities. This is a full-time role with potential partial home-work options in a global packaging

Qualifications

  • Previous work in a production or manufacturing setting will be highly regarded
  • Must have own transport
  • 6:00am start, 2:00pm finish, five days a week

Responsibilities

  • Be trained following Standard Work and Work Instructions, adhere to procedures and comply with policies.
  • Inspect product for visual defects and complete inspection report on a periodic basis.
  • Isolate defected products from good product, and present scrapped material for recycling.
  • Pack all good products in designated manner.
  • Report recurring defects/deficiencies with the product and/or machine to appropriate personnel and/or the shift management immediately.
  • Work in cooperation to keep the machine stocked and running with fitments.
  • Undertake Hazard identification and risk assessment processes and support the implementation of suitable controls.
  • Previous work in a production or manufacturing setting will be highly regarded

Process Operator

As part of our team, you'll be working alongside skilled and experienced operators in the Bag Room Department. Your role as a Process Operator will involve visually inspecting, removing, and systematically packing bags into boxes to ensure the highest levels of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
