Job summary

CSR’s Interior Systems team in Brendale, QLD is seeking a Process Engineer on a 12‑month fixed term to drive World Class Manufacturing initiatives across multiple sites.

You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering to lead CI projects, implement lean tools, and deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity and cost.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar).
• Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, mining or a related industrial environment.
• Exposure to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) frameworks and methodologies
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis
• Experience delivering process improvement initiatives and operational change projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
• Ability to influence teams and drive sustainable behavioural and operational change.
• Experience supporting capital projects, plant upgrades or manufacturing optimisation programs. (highly regarded)

• Monitor and sustain implemented improvements to ensure long‑term business benefits are achieved.
• Coach and develop operational teams in Lean tools, problem‑solving techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Process Engineer to join our Interior Systems business based at Brendale. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our World Class Manufacturing (WCM) journey, identifying improvement opportunities, leading transformation initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes across our operations.

Please note that this role is a 12-month fixed term contract.

About The Role

As Process Engineer, you'll partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering and Procurement teams to drive continuous improvement outcomes across multiple manufacturing sites.

You'll be instrumental in deploying World Class Manufacturing principles, analysing operational performance, leading improvement projects and supporting significant capital investment and optimisation programs.

This role combines technical expertise, project leadership and stakeholder engagement, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to CSR's manufacturing transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills & Experience
