Coronado Global Resources is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to improve the performance of Curragh’s two CHPPs near Blackwater. This role focuses on practical process engineering, debottlenecking, and implementing flowsheet changes, working directly with operators and maintenance teams.
You will test ideas, own projects from investigation to implementation, and live on-site with access to company housing options.
Curragh Mine, near Blackwater, is one of the largest open-cut coal mines in the Queensland Bowen Basin. It produces more than 12 million tonnes of coal per year through two Coal Handling and Preparation Plants (CHPPs).
Reporting to the Superintendent CHPP Production, you’ll work to improve the performance of Curragh’s two CHPPs. If you want to prove yourself as a process engineer, don’t go looking for a good plant. Find a struggling one that needs improving. Both CHPPs are undergoing significant changes, including debottlenecking, cyclone resizing and flowsheet changes. You’ll have the opportunity to test ideas and deliver real improvements. The focus is on real process engineering and solving plant problems, not excessive reporting, logistics or unnecessary administration.
Your role will include:

We’re looking for a hands-on Process Engineer who enjoys working with operators and solving problems in the plant.
You’ll ideally have:
