Job summary

Grange Resources Limited, located at Savage River in TAS, seeks a Process Control Supervisor to join the Quality Process team. This permanent full-time role on a 5 days on/2 days off roster includes on-site accommodation and a camp lifestyle.

You will drive process optimisation, support shift quality control and mentor operations staff to meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Production Operations, Process Engineering, Metallurgy or a related field.
• Experience supervising production, operations or maintenance in heavy industrial environments.
• Strong record-keeping and computer literacy to support process control.

Responsibilities

• Assist with process optimisation and standardisation of shift quality and process control.
• Deliver effective process control services to achieve daily operational excellence and improve production capability.
• Engage with the training department to cover training needs for operations teams to ensure competencies are met.
• Assist production activities including contractors in the concentrator to achieve quality outcomes.
• Monitor work performance and provide leadership to foster a harmonious workplace.

Process Control Supervisor

Grange Resources Limited is Australia’s most experienced magnetite producer from its iron ore mining and pellet production business located in North-West Tasmania.

The Savage River magnetite iron ore mine is a long-life mining asset where ore is mined and processed before it is transported by pipeline to the pellet plant and ship loading facility at Port Latta.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Process Control Supervisor to join our Quality Process team at Savage River.

Reporting to the Quality & Process Improvement Manager, the responsibilities in this role will include but not limited to:

• Assist with process optimisation and standardisation of shift quality and process control.
• Deliver effective process control services to achieve daily operational excellence, to drive down unit cost of production and improve production capability across the site.
• Engage with the training department to cover any training needs for operations teams to ensure all competencies are met.
• Assist production activities including contractors in the concentrator to achieve quality outcomes.
• Monitor work performance and provide leadership and guidance in order to foster a harmonious workplace environment.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Relevant qualification in Production Operations, Process Engineering, Metallurgy or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience supervising production, operations or maintenance activities within a heavy industrial and resources.
• Computer literacy with strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and respond promptly to changing circumstances.
• A background leading teams at supervisor or superintendent level.
