Job summary

Sharp & Carter partners with a leading ASX-listed fintech to recruit a Privacy & Dispute Resolution Officer for a four-month assignment. You’ll join the Risk & Compliance team to handle privacy requests and external dispute resolutions for Australia and New Zealand.

In this hybrid Sydney role, you’ll manage inboxes, prepare submissions for AFCA/FSCL, and help drive process improvements using AI and new tools. The team is backlogged and needs someone with privacy experience who can start soon.

Qualifications

• Hands-on privacy requests experience with obligations.
• Experience in privacy, compliance, complaints, dispute resolution, or financial services.
• Exposure to AFCA or other external dispute resolution schemes.
• Customer-focused approach to sensitive matters.
• Clear, careful writing explaining complex matters.
• Strong organisational skills to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to learn several systems quickly to gather information.
• Willingness to work independently and ask questions.
• Interest in improving processes, including AI and new tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage ANZ privacy inboxes and respond to data requests.
• Explain what personal information is held and help corrections/deletions.
• Prepare concise submissions for AFCA and FSCL disputes.
• Collaborate with service, credit, fraud and product teams to understand cases.
• Track case progress and escalate complex matters.
• Identify patterns in complaints to drive improvements.
• Support risk and compliance reporting and quality checks.
