Job summary

Brightscope HR in Melbourne's north (Heidelberg West) is recruiting a Printer Assistant for a permanent, full-time role in a modern packaging facility. You will assist setup and operation of flexographic presses, support ink preparation, colour management and ensure safety and accuracy on production lines.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn flexographic printing trade.
• Manufacturing/printing experience is a bonus.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist setup and operation of flexographic printing presses to production schedules.
• Support ink preparation, mixing, and colour management.
• Assist with print registration, impression, and colour consistency monitoring.
• Identify and report print defects to the lead printer.
• Support press maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers.
• Safe handling and palletising of finished product.
• Completing production and quality documentation.
• Learning flexographic printing operations through hands-on experience.
