Job summary

Seek is hiring a Printer Assistant in Dandenong South, VIC. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will support the production of high-quality packaging and label products, learning on-the-job with experienced printers.

This role offers training and a clear path for development in the printing industry, including opportunities to progress to running the printer with guidance. Night shift: Monday to Thursday, 4:00pm–2:00am.

Responsibilities

• Assist the printer with daily print jobs and work flexibly.
• Performs a wide range of duties including machine set-up, make job ready, ink preparation and general housekeeping, providing support to the printer and other production areas.
• Develop skills across various production processes and equipment through ongoing training and hands-on experience.
• Progress towards independently running the printer.
• Have an eye for detail supporting the printer.
• Support the printer and others to deliver the total requirement for daily production assigned to the machine and to interact with the planning department and factory manager to ensure timely production of the jobs.
• To report and record all wastes as per the quality procedures.
• You will contribute to all steps in our production process and practices including, Quality, Safety, Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) housekeeping and Environmental control measures.
