Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Brisbane seeks an Associate or Principal Structural Engineer to lead the structural design of water infrastructure across Queensland.

You will drive innovative, durable solutions for water-retaining structures, pump stations, pipelines and assets, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will bring 10+ years in structural engineering with strong water sector experience, RPEQ/Chartered status, and a background in reinforced concrete

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience, including 5+ years in the water sector.
• RPV / RPEQ registration; Chartered status.
• Strong background in reinforced concrete, structural steel and water-retaining structures aligned to Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver structural design for water-retaining structures, pump stations, sewer networks, pipelines and associated assets.
• Provide technical input into proposals and support business development activities.
• Drive integration of Digital Engineering and BIM-based coordination.
• Undertake condition assessments, design reviews and verifications.
• Apply Safety-in-Design principles and ensure compliance with OH&S and quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building team capability.
