Job summary

AECOM in Queensland is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead design of water infrastructure projects. You'll mentor engineers, work with clients, and deliver high-quality, sustainable outcomes across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering (Civil/Structural) and practical experience in water projects.
• Proven experience leading technical delivery and mentoring teams.
• Knowledge of Australian structural design standards.
• Experience with SpaceGass and/or Strand7.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural design for complex water/wastewater projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead technical work across bids, concept to detailed design and construction support.
• Balance technical quality, schedule and budget with sound engineering judgement.
• Build strong client and team relationships and provide technical guidance.
• Support water business growth through proposals and technical input.
• Mentor engineers and grow technical expertise in the team.
